EGLSF co-president elected to CC Bureau of EPAS

The EGLSF is pleased to announce that Annette Wachter, co-president, was re-elected to the Consultative Committee (CC) Bureau of the Enlarged partial Agreement on Sport of the Council of Europe (EPAS). EGLSF at VOICE final conference

EGLSF was present at the final conference for the VOICE Erasmus+ Sport project this weekend in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. EGLSF has worked with other stakeholders in the academic and sports worlds to secure support for the victims, generate sound research data and enable the development of contextualised resources for the benefit of the European sport community. EGLSF attend Football Pride Week

From the 05 – 09 October 2016, football fans  hosted an international conference on homophobia in football. The EGLSF was represented by John Ryan and Sarah Townsend. The much-discussed coming out of an active professional footballer is still pending. Fans are often seen as the main problem in this process. ILGA Conference 2016

From 19 - 22 October the 20th ILGA Europe Conference took place in Nicosia Cyprus. Our board member Diana van den Born travelled down to most South-Eastern part of Europe to attend the conference and the Annual General Meeting of ILGA Europe. This year's theme was 'Power to the People - Celebrating 20 years of the strength within '. Brussels Gay Sports Celebrate 25 years!

Brussels Gay Sports, or BGS, started in 1991 as a group of friends who played volleyball. Since then it has grown and it is now – 25 years later – an association of more than 750 members. Badminton, body conditioning, capoeira, futsal, hiking, pilates, running, swimming, tango dancing, tennis, volleyball, yoga and water polo. Those are the sports BGS has on offer. But BGS also has a choir, a massage course, a group of improvisation theater, and even vegetarians that unite on a regular basis.
