EGLSF voted to ENGSO Equality Within Sports committee

The ENGSO General Assembly in Visby, Sweden was an important landmark for the EGLSF this year. Our application to be an associate member of ENGSO was accepted, and our board member David Hofstetter was voted to the ENGSO “Equality Within Sports” committee for a two-year term. Other committee members are: Niina Toroi (Chair) – Olympic Team Finland, Ioanna Karyofylli, Ελληνική Παραολυμπιακή Ομάδα - Hellenic Paralympic Team, Rachel May - Engso Youth, Anabela Sousa Vaz dos Reis - Confederação do Desporto Portugal. EGLSF at VOICE dissemination meeting in Vienna

The EGLSF and other European sports partners of the VOICE project on sexual harassment and abuse in sport met in Vienna on June 5 - 6 to finalize the project dissemination strategy. EGLSF co-president elected to CC Bureau of EPAS

The EGLSF is pleased to announce that Annette Wachter, co-president, was re-elected to the Consultative Committee (CC) Bureau of the Enlarged partial Agreement on Sport of the Council of Europe (EPAS). The CC is a partnership body which gives its opinion on the programme of activities and provides advice for the decisions of the Governing Board. EGLSF speaks at IDAHOT Forum 2018, Lisbon

EGLSF accepted the Government of Portugal and ILGA Portugal’s invitation to speak on the Sports workshop panel for the IDAHOT Forum 2018, Lisbon on May 14th, 2018. The central theme of the Forum was mainstreaming of LGBTI rights from local to global policies. EGLSF at VOICE final conference

EGLSF was present at the final conference for the VOICE Erasmus+ Sport project this weekend in Bergisch Gladbach, Germany. EGLSF has worked with other stakeholders in the academic and sports worlds to secure support for the victims, generate sound research data and enable the development of contextualised resources for the benefit of the European sport community.
