Powerful VOICE European Workshop

Within the scope of the EU-funded VOICE project, a European Workshop was organised in Cologne, Germany, between September 25 and 29, 2017, bringing forward voices for truth and dignity from victims and survivors of sexual harassment, violence and abuse. The EGLSF also plays and active role in the project. The project Voices for truth and dignity - Combatting sexual violence in European sport through the voices of those affected (VOICE), aims at acknowledgement of sexual violence within sport and putting those affected by sexual harassment and abuse in sport at the centre of the project. European Networking Conference: Addressing Homophobia at Mega-Sport Events

European Networking Conference: Addressing Homophobia at Mega-Sport Events. Ljubljana 17.-18. November We invite football clubs, supporter groups, NGOs, athletes, football activists, national and international sport associations, academics, students and everybody who is interested to this 2day conference in Ljubljana to discuss homophobia in football. Highest ever fine imposed on swimming-pool discriminating against LGBTQ sports association in Hungary

Budapest, August 29, 2017 - The Equal Treatment Authority found that a local-government run swimming pool discriminated against an LGBTQ sports association when it declined to rent out two of its swimming lanes for a sport event. The Authority imposed a fine of 1 million HUF. EGLSF Member club, Atlasz Sports Club offers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people an opportunity to practice sports in an LGBTQ-friendly environment in Hungary since 2004. A Smashing Time in Amsterdam!

Last June was a month full of celebrations for our member club Smashing Pink.   For the 25th time the annual international Pinkster Tournament was organised by a group of enthusiastic volunteers. With about 400 participants the Pinkster Tournament is still Europe's largest LGBTIQ-tennis event. After it's 4th edition in 1996, the first European gay & lesbian tennis club Smashing Pink was founded.
