The EGLSF CEEYOUSPORT project kicked off successfully with its first workshop in Zagreb at the end of April.

The goal of the 2-day-long workshop was to carry out a self-assessment of LGBTIQ+ sport initiatives with a focus on CEE-specific issues. The idea was for the participants to get to know not only each other, but also the challenges they face in their home countries, and the successes they have already reached with their clubs or organisations.

The workshop exercises were interesting, innovative, inspiring and really interactive, the host clubs, FemSlam LBT Football, qSport Zagreb and Queer Sport Split prepared, organised and facilitated the event perfectly.

The EGLSF CEEYOUSPORT projectis possible thanks to a European Union grant of
131.000€ and the goal is to build a stronger network in the CEE region. By realising this program, EGLSF expects to support the establishment of a strong network and effective intersectional cooperation among LGBTIQ sports clubs, their leaders and volunteers operating in the CEE region.

The next workshop will be organised in Warsaw by our member clubs Volup from Poland and Lotosové kvety from Slovakia. The goal of the meeting is sharing knowledge and improving skills of participants in organizing the LGBTI sport events.
