ILGA Conference 2016

From 19 - 22 October the 20th ILGA Europe Conference took place in Nicosia Cyprus. Our board member Diana van den Born travelled down to most South-Eastern part of Europe to attend the conference and the Annual General Meeting of ILGA Europe. This year's theme was 'Power to the People - Celebrating 20 years of the strength within '.
More than 400 delegates from more than 30 countries were representing their National and/or European LGBTI-organisation. They gathered to exchange their knowledge, insprire each other and celibrate ILGA-Europe's 20th Anniversary. Brussels Gay Sports Celebrate 25 years!

Brussels Gay Sports, or BGS, started in 1991 as a group of friends who played volleyball. Since then it has grown and it is now – 25 years later – an association of more than 750 members.

Badminton, body conditioning, capoeira, futsal, hiking, pilates, running, swimming, tango dancing, tennis, volleyball, yoga and water polo. Those are the sports BGS has on offer. But BGS also has a choir, a massage course, a group of improvisation theater, and even vegetarians that unite on a regular basis.

Freedom Bike Ride 2016

A friend of mine and me, we got off on the Vyborg Station. About 240 km lied ahead of us. Four days of hard cycling and unpredictable weather. At that moment I realized that I challenged myself again. ‘I’m just an amateur. Why do I do it again?’ I thought. However, I knew that I could do it. A year ago I did it and reached Stockholm. The EuroGames Photo Competition Winners Are…

During the EuroGames in Helsinki this year, the EGLSF ran a photo competition called the "Spirit of EuroGames". We invited everyone to submit a photo that they felt captured the spirit of the EuroGames and tag it with the #SOEG16. The response was overwhelming with just under 500 entries, and over the past 2 weeks we have been busy deciding which photos really captured the essence of the EuroGames.
