World first LGBTQ Ultra Marathon at EuroGames 2015

EuroGames Stockholm 2015 and the organizers Stockholm Marathon Group will together arrange a 50 kilometers (31 miles)race on August 8th 2015. This will be the first LGBTQ Ultra Marathon ever arranged in the world, open for anyone regardless of gender expression, sexuality and nationality. - It’s fantastic that EuroGames is held in Stockholm and wants to collaborate with Stockholm Ultra Marathon. The two main pillars of ILGA-Europe's work are: (1) advocacy for human rights and equality for LGBTI people with European organisations (European Union, Council of Europe and Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe) and (2) strengthening the European LGBTI movement through its capacity-building programme.
