EGLSF Funding Programme: Good Practices Development 2012

EGLSF Board is pleased to announce as part of the EU project “Preventing and Fighting Homophobic Violence and Intolerance in Sport – Pride in Sport” funded by the European Commission (DG Education and Culture – Sport unit) a new initiative to support the development of inspirational local projects amongst EGLSF members. Summer Sportsfestival 2012 in Munich

Munich’s gay and lesbians sports club invites you to join our Gay and Lesbian Summer Sport Festival 2012.  You should already start to save the weekend for September 14-16, 2012.  Registration and further information will follow shortly.  Organizers offer tournaments in badminton (2 days), bowling, soccer ( 7 by 7 and  women only!) , handball, sport climbing, sport shooting table-tennis, volleyball (women), volleyball (men), as well as workshops for Aerobic and Yoga. Homophobia: Tackling José Mourinho on homophobia

The European Gay and Lesbian Sports Federation (EGLSF) today called on UEFA to take action against José Mourinho for comments in which he referred to match officials as “maricones” (“faggots” in English). The comments were made by the Real Madrid coach prior to their Champion’s League tie against CSKA Moscow. The comments were captured on film, which was later shown on the Spanish television channel Quatro.
