Last 10 October, EGLSF had the opportunity to attend A Pride House Summit, a meeting with former and future PH hosts, organised by Pride House International (with whom EGLSF has worked in the past) and hosted by Paris 2018 Gay Games.

Chaired by Lou Englefield (former EGLSF copresident and director of Pride Sports UK), the summit gave the audience the opportunity to know how past PH were created and managed, thanks to the talks and discussions held by Dean Nelson, from the Vancouver Pride House (organised last summer in occasion with the last Women's World Cup), Hugh Torrance (PH Glasgow, Commonwealth Games 2014) and Lou Englefield herself, who collaborated in PH London (2912 Olympics) and PH Wroclaw and Warsaw in parallel with UEFA Football Cup 2012 (this PH was delivered by EGLSF thanks to our Central and Eastern European Development project 2012-2014).

PH are legacy of big events too, as in Glasgow; this space offers not only benefits for the lgbti community but is also a space for reflection. Volunteers are key people and one space can have several uses, not only for the lgbt community but also for others, so PH can become a real inclusive zone.

This first step introduced the future possibilities: eventual Pride House in France (in occasion with next year's European Football Championships) and in Russia in occasion with 2018 Football World Cup. They are just possibilities but this meeting was also an opportunity for participants to contribute suggestions and ideas.

EGLSF was present as well as FARE and Queer Football Fans, or our members LEAP and Les Dégommeuses. All attendants coincided that including PH as part of the bid of major international events would be a great step towards, PH that could be installed within fanzoones, with tents and info points. And engaging tourism bureaus is key, as well as sports organizing committees, such as FIFA, IOC, etc.

Offering inclusive spaces is basic and can be interesting even for athletes, as we could see in Vancouver during the last Women's World Cup, when PHV received the visit of Team USA. PH is both for football fans and players and could count on actions oout of the PH, i.e. in stadiums.
