As part of the Erasmus+ project ‘PLUSS: LGBTQI+ Policy and Leadership in Sport and Society’, led by EGLSF, two online webinars were recently held to facilitate knowledge sharing and discussions on LGBTQI+ inclusion in sport. These sessions brought together sports practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and members of LGBTQI+ sports communities from across Europe, showcasing key project results and emphasising practical steps for progress at the community and institutional levels. On 22 September 2025, the partners of the PLUSS project (LGBTQI+ Policy and Leadership in Sport and Society), led by the European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation (EGLSF), met online to plan the next stage of their work: dissemination. During EuroGames Lyon 2025, 17 project partners' representatives gathered in person to review accomplishments and plan the final phase of the +PLUSS project (LGBTQI+ Policy and Leadership in Sport and Society), which is now nearing completion. With most key results now finalised, this meeting marked a significant milestone and provided partners with the opportunity to reflect on their progress and adjust strategies for the final phase. As part of the EuroGames Lyon 2025 programme, EGLSF hosted a conference titled “Fighting Discrimination, Building Inclusion: The Legacy of EuroGames for LGBTQI+ Rights in Sport”, highlighting, among other great initiatives on the topic, the Erasmus+ +PLUSS project and its impact on LGBTQI+ inclusion in sport. On 9 June 2025, the European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation (EGLSF) and its partners in the Erasmus+ Sport project, + PLUSS (LGBTQI+ Policy and Leadership in Sport and Society), met online to mark the successful conclusion of their development strategies' implementation phase.
