EGLSF Board Statement Regarding 1QE 2018

Some of our member clubs have contacted EGLSF these last days asking for some guidance regarding the messages of FGG and GLISA that they won't continue negotiating about 1QE 2018. Also at the AGA in Split there has been a strong message that EGLSF membership wants to do something regarding 1QE 2018. Therefore the EGLSF-Board assumes the role of coordinator in strong desire to make 1QE 2018 happen, despite the recent message from FGG and GLISA. The Board of the European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation - EGLSF is extremely disappointed in the failure of creating one quadrennial global LGBTIQ sport event in 2018. Especially because it was at EGLSF’s Annual General Assembly 2010 in Manchester (UK) when both licensing organisations GLISA and FGG spoke out to work jointly towards 1QE in 2018. Public call for proposals: Gaming Application – Call for interest

The EGLSF has been granted funds from the European Union for a project “Preventing & Fighting Homophobic Violence & Intolerance in Sport – Pride in Sport”. EGLSF's bid includes the programming of a Anti-Discrimination Gaming Application for young people. The aim of the application is to raise awareness and understanding of discrimination such as homophobia, transphobia, racism, sexism and discrimination against disabled people in sport and to give all young people the tools with which to challenge such discrimination where they encounter it. EGLSF Funding Programme: Good Practices Development 2012

EGLSF Board is pleased to announce as part of the EU project “Preventing and Fighting Homophobic Violence and Intolerance in Sport – Pride in Sport” funded by the European Commission (DG Education and Culture – Sport unit) a new initiative to support the development of inspirational local projects amongst EGLSF members. Summer Sportsfestival 2012 in Munich

Munich’s gay and lesbians sports club invites you to join our Gay and Lesbian Summer Sport Festival 2012.  You should already start to save the weekend for September 14-16, 2012.  Registration and further information will follow shortly.  Organizers offer tournaments in badminton (2 days), bowling, soccer ( 7 by 7 and  women only!) , handball, sport climbing, sport shooting table-tennis, volleyball (women), volleyball (men), as well as workshops for Aerobic and Yoga.
