ENGSO Annual General Assembly

ENGSO (European Non-Governmental Sports Organisation), the umbrella organisation of National Sport Federations and National Olympic Committees for 40 European countries invited the EGLSF to attend their Annual General Assembly which took place in Nice, France from 16th - 18th of May. Co-President Klaus Heusslein attended the event and took advantage of this great opportunity to speak about EGLSF’s work and the „International Day against Homophobia“ in front of the representatives of the attending National Olympic Committees, including those from Russia and Belarus. A possible collaboration between the EGLSF and ENGSO has been discussed with the President of ENGSO, Brigitta Kervinen. [...]

IGLYO-CoE Seminar in Budapest

Within the framework of the youth campaign No Hate Speech Movement and of the work of the Council of Europe on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity (SOGI), a seminar was held in the European Youth Center in Budapest 15-17 May aimed to identify ways to develop and strengthen new and existing responses of youth organisations, LGBTIQ organisations and national campaign committees to address the challenges faced by young people who are targeted by hate speech because of their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. Next AGA: Kraków, Poland

KKS Krakersy was elected to host EGLSF's annual general assembly next year. Kraków is known for World Heritage (Unesco, 1978) and headquarters one of the most active lgbt sports clubs in Eastern Europe. We are already looking forward to meeting you all there!

New EGLSF Board

After the elections at this year’s eventful Annual General Assembly, the board of the EGLSF is composed of the following seven members: Male Co-President: Klaus Heusslein (Germany/Italy) Treasurer: Tim Van Hoydonck (Belgium) General Secretary: Annette Wachter (Germany) Board members at large: Tamara Tien (The Netherlands), Jon Landa (Spain/Italy), Dániel Waliduda (Hungary) and Christiana Daneva (Bulgaria). EGLSF welcomes Christiana to the board and thanks Armelle Mazé (former female Co-President) for her contribution and hard work in the past years.
