After Anton Hysén, 20-year old football player from Sweden came out earlier last month, a lot of media attention has been given to him and raised the topic of (lack of) out athletes in sport, especially football. “I am a footballer. And I am gay. If I perform as a footballer, then I do not think it matters if I like girls or boys,” he said.
