The international Federation of Gay Games (FGG) announced that it had received completed bid documents from groups in Boston, Massachusetts, Cleveland, Ohio, and Washington, DC competing (all US)A for hosting Gay Games IX in 2014. Federation Officer for Site Selection Darl Schaaff (Anchorage, Alaska) declared: "The FGG is delighted to receive three final bids of very high quality. Around one third of the EU population is organised in a sport club making sport the largest social movement in Europe. 42 ordinary members, an associated member and 7 extraordinary members participated in the 20th anniversary EGLSF Annual General Assembly on March 7-8 in the Hague. Our guests included representatives from FGG and GLISA, Football against Racism in Europe, Norwegian Olympic and Paraolympic Committee, and following international LGBT sport associations: Gay and Lesbian Rowing Federation, International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics, International Gay and Lesbian Football Association and International Gay and Lesbian Field Hockey Federation.
