Farewell to Ivan Bussens

Ivan Bussens, one of the key figures driving gay sporting clubs to prominence in London during the past decade, died after a yearlong fight against cancer on August 27. He was 47. Bussens battled a form of lymphoma into remission last year then suffered a relapse during the past few months. He died at St. Bartholomew's Hospital in London with his partner of 26 years, Peter Unsworth, by his side. The newsletter contains the report on FGG’s 25th Anniversary and the announcement of the 2007 annual meeting, which will take place in San Francisco, USA from October 24 to 29, 2007. Competition Cancellation: Atlasz Budapest Kupa Cancelled

We are extremely sorry to announce that we have to cancel Atlasz Budapest Kupa 13-10-07. Since the number of registered couples is very low, it does not make any sense to reserve a large venue and technical support for financial reasons and we are not able to put the decision off any longer. However, we would like to invite those who have registered and booked their stay to a weekend of a local championship, dance workshops, sightseeing and a wonderful dinner and party.
