LGBT sports magazine Sports Out Loud has announced the Gay Athlete of the Year, according to the votes of their readers and website visitors. The prestigious title goes to the 39-year old Jeff Kagan. Kagan is the founder of the New York City Gay Hockey Association, he also helped in establishing the New York City Gay Basketball League and is a co-founder of Out of Bounds NYC, a non-profit organization with the mission of promoting and developing sports within GLBT community in New York.
