On Wednesday, May 29th, EGLSF participated in the 18th convocation of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport at Council of Europe. This represented an excellent visibility opportunity for the PLUSS project, funded by the European Commission and led by EGLSF and of its connection with the revised European Sports Charter

Hugh Torrance, Co-President of EGLSF, illustrated to Consultative Committee members how the main objectives of PLUSS in enhancing the inclusion and participation of athletes with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and sex characteristics in European is in the framework articles 6 and 10 of the Charter. Moreover, an upcoming activity, that will be lead by the partner ICES - International Centre for Ethics in Sport - will pursue to empowering the sport movement to advocate for the policies and practices that can be adopted to maximise and accelerate inclusion of LGBTQI+ people across Europe, in strong alignment with article 4.
