The data analysis results of the European Erasmus+ project “LBTI women in Sport - Research & Outcomes” (WSRO) were presented for the first time at the Annual General Assembly of the Federation of Gay Games in Valencia on 25th October. In addition we got together with the LBTI*Women*Active project in a meeting and FLINTA EcoActivity sport day!

The responses to the project survey were gathered through online and in-person data collection from March 2024 to April 2025. We managed to collect over 1000 responses, which makes this a unique research as a European wide study of LBTI+ women's participation and experiences in sport. The project leaders from University of València presented now the preliminary results, and the final report will be published when this project ends by end of this year.

The results were not that surprising, but rather confirmed that there is work to do regarding inclusiveness, attractiveness and safety of sports events and how sports organisations function.

In Valencia we also organised round table discussions about the results and how tackle the challenges that were reported by the survey participants. We had the pleasure of discussing the topics of participation, visibility, leadership and harassment experiences with people who share the experiences, and have been developing solutions to overcome the barriers. Thank you everyone for sharing your views and thank you for FGG for having us. We will return to Valencia in June 2026 for the Gay Games
