LGBT sports magazine Sports Out Loud is accepting nominations for the 2008 Athlete of the Year Award. John Amaechi, Mark Tewksbury, and Doria Biddle were chosen as judges in the final selection.
Athletes can nominate themselves, or nominate other LGBT candidates; the criteria being commitment to personal achievement, active participation in individual or team sports, commitment to supporting/encouraging others in sports and commitment to the LGBT (sports) community in general.
