This year's Annual General Assembly of the European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation (EGLSF AGA 2008) took place in Rome, Italy on March 1 & 2, with preceding Gender Training on February 29.

About 150 delegates attended the 2008 AGA in Rome. Our hosts (ArciGay for Sport, Rome; Gruppo Pesce, Rome and Regione Lazio Agensport) did a wonderful job in organising the event, so a big THANK YOU to all of them!

The agenda followed the proposed agenda in the AGA papers. Two plenary sessions were held, but they were very dynamic: 11 smaller groups were formed, and the topics of sports and the future of EGLSF were discussed (separately). The outcomes on sport were already briefly discussed at the AGA, and the outcomes of the sport were also reported on. They will also be available in the minutes, and the board will take them into account for the work plan.

An important part was also the gender conference/training preceding the AGA, which was a crucial step in more active approach to improving gender parity in EGLSF and its member clubs.

An update on the AGA and on the gender event will be featured in the March issue of the EGLSF Newsletter.
