Seminar on Institutional Discrimination ‘Breaking the Glass Ceiling’ @ Olympisch stadion | Amsterdam | North Holland | Netherlands

UEFA has set the goal of eradicating discrimination in all areas of football as a key social objective which the KNVB fully supports.
In order to achieve this aim UEFA sees its role as taking action at European level and offering leadership and support to national associations to address a social phenomenon that impacts on
our sport. One of the issues that research shows requires action is the lack of diversity in coaching and management and senior administration areas. Specifically we are keen to address the lack of
ethnic minorities in coaching and management positions in European football, and the number of ethnic minorities and women in senior administration positions.

In order to develop action in this area and to work out relevant good practice, a seminar on institutional discrimination is hosted by the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) on the 12
December 2014 in Amsterdam. The seminar is a joint initiative between UEFA, the KNVB, and the Fare network. It is aimed at
representatives of national associations in Europe where societal diversity makes diversity in football a priority.
