Dear Sports Colleagues of the LGBTTIQ Community

Abseitz Stuttgart is organizing the "15th Stuttgarter LebenSlauf" from September 12th to 19th.

For the 2nd time we start our charity run in the online version and for the 1st time our organizing team has decided to organize the run for the benefit of LGBTTIQ refugees.

Those who flee have good reasons to do so. This is especially true for LGBTTIQ people who have experienced persecution and violence from the state, family or society in their countries of origin. In 69 countries around the world, LGBTTIQ are threatened with danger to freedom, life and limb. Once they arrive in Germany for example, the flight is not yet over for many LGBTTIQ people. In addition to the existential insecurity associated with the often lengthy and difficult asylum procedures, there are experiences of racism and LGBTTIQ hostility, especially in refugee accommodations and integration courses.

Abseitz Stuttgart e. V. stands as a sports club for lesbians, gays and their friends for a world in which people, no matter where they are born and where they stay, can love and live without fear and without self-denial in dignity and respect.

Therefore, we decided to donate the proceeds of this year's run to two local organizations that take care of LGBT refugees in Stuttgart and Athens/Greece.

In the name of this year's organizing team and Abseitz Stuttgart we would like to invite all interested people living in Germany to participate in our run.

As we are sending the starter packages by mail, the shipping can only be financed in Germany. 

If you do not want to receive your starter package and still want to participate, there is no obstacle to your registration.

It would also be nice if you publicize the race via your social media channels.
