PSS Expert Workshop on normative framework, anti-doping, discrimination and equality
“Pro Safe Sport for Young Athletes” (PSS)

The Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS) of the Council of Europe implements together with 15 project partners the EU funded initiative "Pro Safe Sport for Young Athletes (PSS)" aiming at the promotion of the physical and mental well-being of young athletes.

The project workshop will focus on normative framework, anti-doping, discrimination and equality in sport for young athletes.

Workshop themes:

  • The European normative framework on the promotion of well-being of young athletes: Which instruments shape national safeguarding policies?
  • Which educational programmes does the IOC provide for athletes?
  • Young athletes say no to doping: Which initiatives can lead to success?
  • Inclusion in Sport: Which challenges and chances has sport to face with regards to discrimination and equality?

  • The four workshops of PSS focus on four main issues
  • Physical well-being (injury prevention, rest, regeneration, burnout, overtraining)
  • Mental well-being (sexual harassment, emotional/ psychological abuse, gender based violence, bullying)
