Antwerp AC International Badminton Tournament 2016
"Because we are not mainstream"

We are proud to welcome you all here in the historic city of Antwerp for our International Badminton Tournament, due on 15 October 2016.
After a successful try out in 2015 and many positive reactions we have decided to organize the tournament similar as last year, following the Swiss Ladder system.

Because we are not Mainstream.

The badminton tournament

We only play doubles. Men / Women / Mixed. The system allows that everybody can subscribe. We prefer registrations with a partner but if you have none, we will try to find you a suitable partner. All levels from A to C- can participate.  You'll be playing minimum 7 matches (5 matches of 1 set in the 1st round, 2 matches best-of-3 in the 2nd round).

How does the Swiss Ladder system works?
1st round: The teams are ordered by strength (according to the level you subscribed). And after that, everything is possible. Depending on your wins or losses you will climb or drop down on the ladder.
2nd round (after the ladder competition): new levels will be created based on the results of the 1st round: ladder competition. Logically, Level 1 will be the highest level possible.
In this way we can guarantee you exciting matches and everyone plays until the end. No drop outs.

Registration


Dinner

  • € 20,- > 3 course menu (Dinner will start just after the tournament and is on the same location of the tournament)(price for dinner is excluding all drinks)

Party

  • Players on the tournament: entrance party is included in the players' fee
  • Non players: to pay separetely at the entrance
  • Location: to be determined - information will follow later

Hosted Housing
We try to arrange hosted housing if possible. Please indicate your wishes on the registration form.

Attention, each member of the double team has to register individually (so 1 team = 2 registrations).
