Policy paper: Set of recommendations for policymakers and sport authorities
Shaping Policies for Inclusive Sport
The Purple Policy Paper, developed by Sportieq in collaboration with Out for the Win and the PLUSS project partners, presents a clear set of recommendations for policymakers and sport authorities committed to removing barriers that limit LGBTQI+ participation in sport and society.
By addressing the deep-rooted gender norms that still shape many sporting environments, this paper advocates for a shift from compensatory to complementary roles for LGBTQI+ sport clubs — promoting real choice, accessibility, and inclusion.
Download the Purple Policy Paper to explore how public institutions and mainstream sport bodies can actively foster collaboration, inclusion, and structural change in the world of sport.
