event rich in joy
Besides offering a high-quality sport event to the LGBTIQ+ sports community, EGLSF promotes the following through the EuroGames:
Fight against discrimination in sport on grounds of sexual preference or orientation.
Stimulate integration in sport and emancipation of LGBTIQ+ athletes.
Enable and support the coming out of LGBTIQ+ athletes.
Support the founding of new LGBTIQ+ groups.

Bidding for EuroGames
Bidding for the hosting of EuroGames® requires some preparation and to have a clear understanding of the ability that your Sports club has to host such an important event. As a prerequisite, the bidder must be an EGLSF member club, or several member clubs forming a joined bidding team.
During the bidding process, the EGLSF Board members are available to support and advise on your bid. Bidders will also get a manual for creating the Bid-book and a presentation for the General Assembly of the EGLSF, where the delegates will be voting for the best bid.
Bidding cycles by year
- March 2, 2026 – Bid cycle re-opens for EuroGames 2029 – bid books can be requested as of the same day
- June 30, 2026 - Payment of the bidding fee for EuroGames 2029 is received at the account of EGLSF
- September 30, 2026 – Closing date for bidding
- October 1-3, 2026 - Online presentation of the bid(s)
- October 3, 2026 – Bids for the EuroGames 2029 will be distributed to our members for electronic vote.
- October 3-9, 2026 - Q&A can be addressed /responded
- October 9, 2026 – Electronic vote opens.
- October 30, 2026 – Electronic vote closes.
- October 31, 2026 – Results are published.
The timeline for 2030 bid is as follows:
- April, 2026 – Bidding interest is officially opened and the EGLSF board can answer any questions you may have. You may also request a bidding manual at this stage.
- October 1, 2026 – Potential bidders needs to sign bidding document and pay a small fee
- October - December 31, 2026 – Preparing your bid book. Delivery at latest December 31.
- March 6, 2027 – If you are successful with your submission, then you are invited to present your bid at the EGLSF AGA to host the 2030 EuroGames. The delegation will then cast a vote to determine the winning city.

The European Gay & Lesbian Sport Federation is always striving to improve the experience of participants who enter the EuroGames. As part of this strategy we have gathered a list of experienced EuroGames participants and organisers who have generously offered their time and expertise to help the host of the next EuroGames.
About sport specialists
The EuroGames give organising committees the opportunity to ”Come alive” and showcase their activities or sporting events in the community. Sporting events are an important part of our community life and it is a rewarding experience to contribute to a successful EuroGames.
Organising such a large multi sport event can be a daunting task but with the help of our experts we hope that the next EuroGames is planned, prepared and implemented to the highest standard.
All the men and women here have a wealth of experience in organising many sporting tournaments, not only on a European level but also internationally. Each specialist can advise on venues, scheduling, required amenities, rules and regulations in their chosen field.
The aim of this alliance is to ensure that the EuroGames will continue to grow from strength to strength and that everyone involved will have to necessary assistance form these experts.
