Guidelines: Building inclusive and sustainable sport communities / LGBTIQ+ and mainstream sports organisers
Build Inclusive and Sustainable Sport Communities
The Community Guidelines, developed by Sportieq in collaboration with Out for the Win and other PLUSS project partners, offer sport leaders — both from LGBTQI+ and mainstream contexts — practical and tested guidance to create inclusive environments and advocate for LGBTQI+ rights within and beyond sport.
Rooted in the “GAME” framework (Good Governance, Advocacy, Membership, and Events) and enriched by a European-wide study on LGBTQI+ sport, each chapter combines strategic insights with real-life examples and concrete recommendations to help clubs grow stronger, more inclusive, and more sustainable.
Whether you're just starting your inclusion journey or looking to deepen your impact, this guide provides hands-on tools to strengthen your club and community. Download the guidelines and take your next step towards building a club where everyone truly belongs.
