EQUIP

EQUIP – The Equip for Equality in Practice – project was an Erasmus+ Sport initiative aimed at promoting equality, diversity, and good governance within grassroots sports across Europe.

Project information

The Equip for Equality in Practice (EQUIP) Project responded to the unacceptable levels of inequality and sluggish implementation of equality policies in sport, by adopting a pragmatic approach that will ultimately help towards ensuring that everyone has an equal opportunity in the life and practice of sport in Europe. The role of the EGLSF was to be an Equality Expert and a member of the Steering Committee. The project took place during 2021 - 2023.

This Index has been created and populated by the partners of the project and the Panel of Equality Experts, which includes individuals and organisations who have recognised expertise in the challenges and solutions for achieving equality in sport, and in society in general. Whilst the content of this Index is heavily influenced by the composition of the panel and the project group, it has been conceived to bring useful inspiration for sport organisations and policy makers to continue working on equality in sport.
