Sofia Pride Sports Equality Run

Sofia Pride Sports has the pleasure to invite all sports enthusiasts to the first of a kind race in pairs, part of the Sofia Pride Program - Equality Run!

On May 19th at 11:00 am we will gather in Zaimov Park and, with the typical for our community fighting spirit, we will run with a cause! On the eve of International AIDS Candlelights Memorial Day we will express our support for people living with HIV and our motivation to tackle this problem.

Prepare for a 3km running in pairs, where the two partners will be tied together with a ribbon on the arms, so be ready for teamwork and wisely choose your partners. The International AIDS Candlelights Memorial Day is one of the oldest HIV / AIDS awareness campaigns in the world. The initiative began in 1983 and takes place every year on the last Sunday of May, with 1200 community organizations in 115 countries. Today, 33 million people live with HIV and the International Day of Solidarity is important for global solidarity and the elimination of stigma and discrimination.

During the event CheckPoint Sofia I Център за сексуално здраве will conduct anonymous and free HIV testing, and GLAS Foundation will distribute information materials and condoms. At the place of the event everyone will be able to get a consultation on the topic by volunteers of the organizations.
